Overlook at Makena Stables

Here is a couple photos off the trail that leads to Makena Stables. We are doing a Paniolo BBQ and horseback rides in this area, so naturally the Jeep goes along. No technical wheelin', but great views!

Exploring Maui

Its been quite a long time since I posted anything on this blog, but for good reason. I am now living on the beautiful island of Maui. The transition has been a long, difficult practice, and my job is requiring so many hours that its tough to even get out, let alone blog about it. This week, however, I can. I made it up to Polipoli state park on Maui. This is a shot at the entrance to the hiking trails, but there is plenty of drivable terrain as well. This is not by any means expert terrain, but it is very interesting to see the changes in climate, elevation, temperature, road quality and conditions, and visibility. As you can see in the photo, its very hazy. We are in the center of the clouds that normally hide the top of the mountains of East Maui.

'77 full-time 4-Wheel Drive

Here are a couple more photos of the '77 Cherokee Chief. It has a few inches suspension lift and Super Swampers. Originally a parts truck, this was rebuilt after being totalled while parked by a drunk teen driver.

Some random trail photos

Old stage

This was taken on Old Stage road in Colorado Springs. Its nothing crazy, but it was nice to get out and mess around that day.

Ben's Cherokee

Here is Ben's Cherokee. He has removed the plastic fenders and welded the metal fenders to give the Jeep a clean look and a little more clearance. His custom bumpers (front and rear) give it that nice aftermarket look and really make it a tougher vehicle. His list of modifications are too much for me to remember, but they include new air intake, new custom exhaust, custom bumpers and so on.

Summer '09

Here is a photo of my Jeep from last summer. I took this while out for a stroll on a road located just above the popular Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs. Not much of a trail, I decided to "pose" on a rock looking to flex my suspension a little.

Hell-Fire 4x4

Just a few guys who like to spend some free time off-roading. This blog is dedicated showing off what we do to our vehicles, as well as what our vehicles are capable of doing. I'll start by adding a few of my own Jeep shots and hopefully start adding photos and videos from any off-road trips we take here in Southern Colorado. If you or your friends have Jeep shots you would like, please leave a comment on their web location or an e-mail address I can contact you at. Enjoy Hell-Fire.blogspot.com
